What happens
The premiere opens like a found-footage horror movie. Grainy clips of the women in happier days give way to black-and-white shots of them stumbling along railway tracks in the dark, while Mary narrates about trust collapsing and a witch hunt beginning. The episode doesn’t pay that footage off until its last minutes.
Then it’s a wet, grey morning. Angie picks Mary up in a huge RV for the trip they’ve organized, which they sold to everyone else as a Class A getaway. Bronwyn swears at the sight of it. Britani has packed a bikini. Lisa isn’t there. Before they’ve even left the lot outside Heather’s Beauty Lab + Laser, a squad in SWAT gear surrounds the RV and cuffs Whitney. It’s her prank — the officers are strippers.
On the drive, Heather asks where Lisa is. Angie says work. The show then cuts to an earlier FaceTime: Lisa told Angie she wouldn’t spend a night with Bronwyn, whom she accused of lying compulsively, and said she’d be at a work event with Blake Lively and Ben Affleck. Whitney doesn’t buy it. Britani shows off her half of a best-friends heart necklace and vows to defend Lisa. She snaps that Whitney’s own business is being torn apart online, and Whitney answers with a crude sexual jab about how Britani makes her money (Reality Tea).
The Provo River Resort RV Park is snowy and lined with dumpsters, and it isn’t what anyone pictured. Over cold sandwiches, Britani hands out camcorders and the mood lifts, until Angie brings up Lisa’s absence. Bronwyn raises lawsuits filed against Lisa. Heather and Meredith push back, and Angie compares Lisa’s conduct to Jen Shah’s. Heather says she can’t believe the two of them are bonding over that. Bronwyn asks why Heather never defended her when Lisa made the same comparison about her. Heather answers by bringing up last season’s $4 million necklace. In a confessional, Bronwyn admits she let the women believe she’d bought it, planning to wear a different version, and concedes that was lying. Bronwyn then lists the accusations she says she isn’t making about Lisa, and Heather cuts in: “You’re saying all of that!” Meredith shuts the discussion down until they can ask Lisa directly. Lisa isn’t present to respond in this episode, so none of the claims about her lawsuits are tested on camera.
Britani then announces that she and Jared got engaged, then un-engaged, though they’re still together. The group splits for fly fishing and kayaking. Whitney puts Heather and Bronwyn in one kayak, and they have more fun than anyone. Heather asks a ranger whether this canyon is the setting of a local legend about a woman called Molly Sorensen. He confirms it, and the instructor says he’s heard screams at night. The legend, as Heather tells it, is about a woman who lured girls into the canyon and killed them.
Dinner is whatever Angie bought: hot dogs without buns, frozen veggie burgers and a bag of asparagus. Mary settles for a stale bagel. Heather reports that she and Bronwyn have made peace. Angie suggests that’s easier with Lisa away, which irritates Heather. Whitney admits her business failed and that she and her husband, Justin, have nothing left, then pulls away from Britani’s hug. When Britani complains she’s still owed an apology, the group pelts her with asparagus. Meredith tells her she finds her uninteresting and has no respect for her. The night ends with the camcorder ghost hunt: the women get lost, start bickering, and Meredith runs off as her camera falls. To be continued.
How it originated
By premiere night, Bravo had renewed the show in May 2025, with production running from February to June. On 14 August, Bravo released the trailer, cast and premiere date. All seven housewives were returning, and Britani was back as a friend. Meili Workman, a friend in Season 5, said in June that she wasn’t coming back. The trailer promised an RV in place of the usual Sprinter van, a trip to Greece and a yacht charter with the Below Deck Down Under crew. It also hinted at a mystery man and a mistress.
The SWAT stunt only works because of the show’s history. Jen Shah was arrested in March 2021, during Season 2, and Bravo noted that the RV was parked where the cast had been during that infamous moment. Shah pleaded guilty in July 2022 to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing. She was sentenced on 6 January 2023 to 78 months and reported to Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas on 17 February 2023 (Bravo; Fox News). She hasn’t appeared since Season 3. Comparing someone to Shah, in this group, means comparing them to a real conviction. The necklace dispute Heather revives also dates from Season 5.
The human interaction (Analysis)
Lisa’s empty seat organizes the whole hour. She’s not there, so everyone has to decide where they stand on her, and that’s a cheaper commitment than taking her on in person. Angie and Bronwyn line up against her. Heather, Meredith and Britani defend her, for different reasons.
Heather’s defense is the interesting move. She doesn’t argue about the lawsuits. She goes after Bronwyn’s credibility, and the necklace confession hands her the point. That’s a familiar reality-TV reflex: dismiss the messenger, and you never have to weigh the message.
Britani’s loyalty is louder, and the group punishes her for it. The asparagus volley and Meredith’s flat dismissal mark the difference between holding a snowflake and holding a friend’s slot. She’s allowed to be there, not to take sides with that much noise.
The kayak truce is the warmest scene, and Bronwyn’s joke about it is sharp. Their peace depends on not looking at each other. It’s fragile, and Angie tests it within hours.
