What happens
Angie hurts herself on a cast trip again — in Canouan it was her finger; here she walks into a butler carrying a glass pitcher and splits her lip, and Bronwyn jokes in a confessional that Angie’s lip filler worked like a seatbelt for her face, while Mary just sighs that Angie has hurt herself again. By the pool, Meredith is a different woman from the day before: she has coffee, and says she wants a positive trip. Angie rounds everyone up for a surprise — a flying-dress photoshoot, the women posing in bright goddess gowns on Santorini’s white staircases — and as Meredith strikes poses, Whitney cheers her on, then immediately turns to Heather and asks whether she’s noticed how happy Meredith suddenly seems; the two wonder aloud how long it will last.
When the group splits up, Whitney raises Meredith again over lunch with Bronwyn and Mary. Mary says Meredith’s moods don’t add up — “The pattern is patterning” — and connects it to what she’s seen with her own son. Bronwyn adds her own story: she says she saw Seth at a New York dinner with a woman he introduced as an investor, and she didn’t believe him, comparing it to how defensive she got when the claims about Todd surfaced and saying Meredith is acting the same way. This is speculation from all three women about a castmate who isn’t at the table: nothing in the episode supports a conclusion about Meredith’s health or marriage, and neither Meredith nor Seth responds to it here. Whitney asks what they should do, and nobody has an answer. At a spa with a strict quiet-zone sign, Britani splashes the others in the warm pool; when Angie calls it rude, Britani says in a confessional that after having buckets of water dumped on her on the yacht, they can handle a little splash — then she breaks the silence properly, hurt that nobody asked why Olivia didn’t text her on Mother’s Day. That sets off Meredith, still stung by Britani’s jab about her own missed call with her son; staff shush them repeatedly and nobody listens, Lisa says Britani’s tears are fake and Heather insists they’re real, Meredith storms out, and Britani starts reciting Meredith’s catchphrases.
Back at the house, Whitney tells Heather she’d considered ending her friendship with Meredith, but after lunch she realized she still cares about her — leaving out Bronwyn’s story about Seth. On the drive to dinner, Lisa delivers a long speech about a book claiming trees can communicate, and Heather jokes that no tree could get a word in with Lisa; then Lisa turns on Britani, saying she’s heard Britani was drinking and throwing up all day on the yacht, and wonders aloud whether Britani has a drinking problem. Britani is stunned and asks where that came from. At dinner, after a long walk down rocky steps, the server keeps things moving with impressive patience; Mary demonstrates licking her shot of mastika rather than drinking it; and Todd calls Bronwyn to say he’s flown out to help her mother, who’s struggling to close up her house — Bronwyn visibly touched. Then Britani raises Lisa’s comment: Meredith admits she’s the one who heard the rumors but doesn’t say where she heard them; Bronwyn, who apparently played some part, doesn’t own it either, saying Meredith’s version is wrong; and Lisa apologizes. Heather declares Britani more accomplished than anyone at the table, setting off a new round about Heather speaking for Britani and Lisa speaking for Meredith — then the restaurant closes, the server shows the women out, and as they climb back up the steps, he says he’s relieved they’re gone.
How it originated
The episode picks up after a two-week holiday break — Episode 14 aired 16 December, and this one on 30 December, according to Wikipedia’s episode table. That episode ended with Whitney apologizing to Meredith for the “pill popper” and “alcoholic” comments, Meredith resolving to reset, and Britani claiming the “high body count” trademark; it also had the cooking-class moment in which Britani answered Meredith’s grief over a missed call with her son by mentioning her own three-year estrangement, and the spa fight reopens exactly that wound. The rumor Lisa repeats ties back to the zombie dinner in Canouan, where Britani left the table to be sick, came back and took a shot, and Meredith called the behavior odd — and where Britani then cited online claims that Seth had a mistress. Bronwyn’s story about Seth echoes that rumor, now offered as something she says she saw herself.
The human interaction (Analysis)
Whitney’s apology bought peace for one morning; by lunch, she was building a case about Meredith’s moods with a new audience. The group’s habit of diagnosing absent castmates hasn’t changed — it’s just moved on to a new subject: Mary’s “pattern” and Bronwyn’s dinner sighting sound like concern, but they’re delivered with no one there to answer them, which is how gossip usually sounds. Lisa’s alcoholism remark mirrors the charge Whitney just withdrew, pointed at a different target; she apologizes quickly, which suggests she knew what she was doing, and the question of who started the rumor runs into a now-familiar wall — everyone heard it from someone else.
The spa fight shows how fragile last week’s Mother’s Day truce was: Britani and Meredith keep using their children as both wounds and weapons, and neither seems able to talk about her own loss without turning it into a comparison. And Heather declaring Britani the most accomplished woman at the table is generous but also a provocation — she speaks for Britani the way Lisa speaks for Meredith, and both proxies keep stoking fights they say they’re trying to end.
What people made of it
EpisodeHive’s season mirror lists the episode at 8.1/10 from 43 votes as of 18 October 2026, its best score since the Canouan episodes. Wikipedia’s episode table gives 0.33 million U.S. viewers, the season’s lowest so far, in a holiday-week slot.
Niki Leydecker at Reality Tea organized her recap around Meredith’s shifting moods: she gave the patient dinner server a perfect score, wished for more light moments like Mary’s shot-licking, and asked readers what they made of Lisa’s accusation. The Daily Beast cast the trip as a Greek tragedy, with Santorini’s locals visibly tired of the cast. A Vulture recap of this episode, the episode’s Reddit threads, Primetimer’s forum and comments on Bravo’s official clips could not be retrieved for this piece, so it reports no fan reaction beyond the figures and recaps above.
